Why reward based training?

Why reward based training?

Remember why the wolfs start following people. It was not because they give them a nice ear scrub it was because they found food around them. It benefited the wolf to be around humans.

To work with reward based training gives you a chance to get a dog that work better. A communication the dog will understand. Dogs do things that will benefit them self. A reward does not always need to be a treat can also be a toy, to smell something, to say hello for someone. Anything that means a lot for the dog. You would not want to work without salary so give a reason for your dog to listen to you.

A puppy that get rewarded for peeing outside learn faster then a puppy that get punished for peeing inside.

Dogs don’t think and communicate like us.

To train with threats “like if you don’t come now I will pinch your ears or yell at you” training is to me not a healthy relationship.

No human would want this behavior in their partner/family.

The best animals trainers in the world work reward based.

A dog that being understood is a more happy dog why wouldn’t you want that for the dog that you love?

To get a bone almost the same size as you is a great reward💖
