Puppy, puppy adorable puppy

Most people loves puppy’s, they are so cute and funny! But what we must not forget that it is a baby dog! And having a baby is not always easy. They will have to have a lot of training and investment of your time to become a good individual.

As a dog trainer I’m being contacted a lot to fix problem behaviours, a lot of this problems could have been avoided if the dog would have been trained right from the start when it was a puppy. Yet there is very few people that take puppy classes, because they think a puppy will be easy and they don’t have problems yet. For sure a little puppy of 2 month old can’t destroy so much when left alone, but you will be surprised how much they can destroy when being 6 month. If we do not train right from the start we can created a lot of stress and anxiety and it’s much harder to fix that then to prevent it from ever happening.

There is so much a puppy will have to learn in a very short amount of time before it’s an adult. Being house clean, to be able to be left alone, walk in a leash without pulling, be social to dogs and people, not be aggressive, dont be scared, don’t run off and so much more. And it’s our job to make sure it learns in a good way so it can become that great dog that we wished for. They see us as their family and it’s time we see them the same way and treat them with the love and respect that they deserve. To take a class to learn the basics and get good routines is something I wish everyone would do! It’s a very good investment for the future. It could prevent so much problems and also to avoid that so many puppy’s and adult have to change homes or being left at shelters because people can’t handle them anymore. It’s mainly the puppy’s experiences that will either make it a calm and happy dog or can make it an aggressive or scared dog or a nervous dog that bark all the time. We have all the chances in the world to create good dogs, so let’s hope more people do it! They grow so fast! 💕
